Tyler "Ty" Hultink Obituary

TYLER MICHAEL HULTINK

2007 - 2022

Tyler Hultink passed away peacefully at home, with his loved ones by his side, on April 6, 2022. For 17 months, Tyler bravely fought brain cancer with determination, perseverance, and a joy-filled spirit. Ty did not lose this battle, he ultimately won, as he now rests with our loving Savior, the One who carried us through this long journey.

Tyler will always be remembered by his parents, Mike and Deb; his siblings, Gabe, Mason, and Molly.

Tyler is survived by his paternal Grandma and Grandpa, John and Ann Hultink; his uncle Curtis (Michelle) Hultink; his cousins, Gregory and Landon, and his uncle Danny (Crystal) Hultink.

He is also survived by his maternal Grandma and Grandpa, George and Jennie Seibel; his aunts and uncle, Char (Gregg) Lockhart; his cousins, Kelly, Ellyana, Caleb, and Mattea. Kristy (John) Rainforth; his cousins Trinity, Denasia, Zayden, and Charlie. Brad (Trina) Seibel; his cousins Luke and Callen; his aunts, who were also his best friends, Kyla and Jayden Seibel, Sam, Sean, and Anthony.  Tyler was loved by all of these people, including countless extended family members.

Tyler Michael Hultink was born on February 7, 2007 in Lacombe, AB. Tyler’s love for Jesus and his family was evident in how it poured out of him.  Ty was always a rule follower, wanting to please his parents, and had led them to believe that they had this parenting thing figured out. The siblings that followed humbled Mike and Deb.  Tyler was a beautiful soul, always a bright smile with mischief in his eyes, even on his hardest days. A joke or witty and playful remark was often on the tip of his tongue. If you wanted to laugh or have your day brightened, Ty was the one to be around. He was full of adventure.  Some of his favorite adventures were going 180km+ in a Lamborghini, snowboarding down a mountain, hiking, skateboarding, ziplining, and crashing into wood piles with his dune buggy.  Ty loved LEGO, woodworking, remote controls, being at the lake, and driving anything motorized. He loved going to car shows and was fortunate enough to receive multiple Lambo rides, as well as many other rides in exotic cars.

From a young age Ty was always ready to lend a hand.  Whether it was helping the little ones, helping Molly with fishing, taking his brothers for a ride behind the snowmobile, or anything else one would ask of him. Tyler was a good friend to so many, he was always coming up with shenanigans, ideas of things to build, and pranks to pull on someone.

As we remember and celebrate Ty, we encourage those who attend Ty’s funeral to wear colourful clothing or clothing that brings joy.

In lieu of flowers we would love to collect LEGO or toys for Child Life. You are welcome to bring these items to Ty’s funeral or leave the items on the front step of 37 Erma St. Lacombe.
