Valerie Ann (Schultz) Courtney

Valerie Ann (Val) Courtney, beloved daughter, loving wife, devoted mother, doting grandma, homemaker and music teacher; passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30th at the Shasta Care Centre in Edmonton, Alberta.

Valerie was predeceased by her parents, Val and Mary Schultz, brothers Bob and Donald, sisters Doreen Barber and Joyce Gleason, son-in law Caine Delorme, and her cherished husband, Jim.

Val is survived by her children Michael (Karen) Courtney, Patricia (John) Bishop, Kim (Kathy) Courtney, Colleen Courtney and Shari Courtney; as well as her grandchildren Sarah, Pamela, Megan, Lexie, and Graham. She will be missed by all.

Her Celebration of Life will be held in Lacombe at Wilson’s Funeral Chapel on Friday, June 12th, 2026 at 2:00pm.
