Vernon Francis McAreavy

Vern was born in Rimbey Alberta and lived about 17 miles west on the family farm. When Vern was around 15 his father sold the farm and moved to Morningside. There he lived until he married his loving, devoted wife Lorraine. They lived in Bentley , then moved to Blackfalds , and finally moved to Lacombe until his passing.

In the 48 1/2 years of marriage they had 3 wonderful children. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather( he was called Papa by all), brother and uncle. Vern was predeceased by his Mother and Father: Marjorie and Henry McAreavy.

Vern is survived by his wife Lorraine, daughter Tamie (Shawn) Everett, Son's Clayton (Janice) McAreavy and Michael McAreavy. 7 grandchildren: Forrest, Cheyenne, Payton, Jerake, Seanna, Wyatt and Matthew. 2 great grandchildren Jackson and Victor. His 2 sisters Charlotte McAreavy and June (George) Paterson, and 5 nephews.

He was very loved by his family, and will be sadly missed. Good- bye Papa until we meet again.

At Vern's request there will be no funeral services.
