It is with great sadness that we share with family and friends the sudden passing of Wayne Gregory Yuill at the age of 78 on Monday, September 14, 2020, a loving husband, and father of two children.

Wayne was born on July 26, 1942 in Almonte, Ontario, to Alexander Buchanan and Inez (Majuary) Yuill. On December  4, 1965, he married Cheryl Faith Detta. They raised a daughter Wanita and son Richard spending there years together in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and Yukon.

He enjoyed travelling and living through out Canada during his lifetime. In the early 1960's he was a member of the Regular Canadian Army.

Wayne had a passion for fishing, bird watching, and was a keen outdoors man and loved to spend his time in the bush.  He was also an avid country music lover who loved to watch western movies especially John Wayne ones.

Wayne did things the way he wanted to usually with a laugh or smile.

Special thanks to all the home care Nurses for their attentive, compassionate care of Wayne during the last few years as well as the medical staff at Red Deer Regional Hospital.

He will be remembered as a man who was family oriented and very social. He will be dearly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

GONE FISHIN'

by Dalmar Pepper

I’ve finished life’s chores assigned to me,

So, put me on a boat headed out to sea.

Please send along my fishing pole

For I’ve been invited to the fishin’ hole.

Where every day is a day to fish,

To fill your heart with every wish.

Don’t worry, or feel sad for me,

I’m fishin’ with the Master of the sea.

We will miss each other for a while,

But you will come and bring your smile.

That won’t be long you will see,

Till we’re together you and me.

To all of those that think of me,

Be happy as I go out to sea.

If others wonder why I’m missin’

Just tell ’em I’ve gone fishin’.
