J. Graham Glover

Graham Glover passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 in Lacombe, AB at the age of 71 years,after a prolonged illness. 

He was born in Victoria, BC on January 1, 1947 to Jack and Lorraine Glover.  He was the second of four siblings.  Graham met Sharron (nee Waterman) while he was working at carpentry with his father in Sidney, BC and Sharron was a nurse at Rest Haven Hospital.  They married December 22, 1968. 

Graham graduated from Walla Walla College in 1976 and started his pastoral ministry in Brampton, Ontario.  He was ordained in 1982.  He served in Chatham/Wallaceburg, Thunder Bay and Bowmanville before moving to Regina in the Manitoba/Saskatchewan Conference.  In Saskatchewan, he served in Canora/Kamsack, in Saskatoon as chaplain at Sunnyside and in Trust Services, and in Swift Current/Maple Creek combined with Trust and Ministerial. 

Graham is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sharron; sons, Mark (Corene) and Paul (Shelley); three granddaughters, Janelle, Sandra and Laura; siblings, Geraldine Homenchuk (Howard), James (Mary), Richard (Cheryl); and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Lorraine Glover. 

The family would like to thank the staff at the Lacombe Hospital and Dr. Wendy Howery for their compassionate care over the last 3 months. Graham was able to have a very welcome three week stay at home in December thanks to great home care support.   Also thank you to the friends who visited so faithfully and made the long stay more pleasant.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Lacombe Communty Seventh Day Adventist Church, 5810 - 45 Avenue, Lacombe AB on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Graham's honour many be directed to ADRA (Adventist Development & Relief Agency) or to A Better World, or to a charity of your choosing.
