John Horace Tisdale passed away peacefully with family at his side on February 5, 2018.

John was born in Red Deer on February 22, 1946, the second of five children born to Reginald and Hilma Tisdale. John is predeceased by his parents, his beloved son Brett, and his brother Ed. He is survived by Marj, his loving wife of 26 years; son Clay (Mia) and their children Mason and Claire;daughters Tara (Adam) and her children Colby and Jacurra; Jane (Brad) and their children Brandon and Devon;Jodee (Jim) and their children Rick (Shelby) and Ryan (Rebecca); Eryn and her children Payton and Kaddi; stepdaughters Karen (Jamie) and their children Ty (Angela), Hayden, Ashton, and Riley; Trish (Darwin) and her children Brady and Dustin; Bonnie (Lorin) and their children Shaye, Jasper, and Jaycee; as well as two sisters, Mary (John) and their children Mike (Mikki) and Lisa; Myrna (Paul) and their children Trent (Karen), Trevor, Mark, Amanda (Darren), Sharon (Phil); brother Les (Lynda) and their children Kelly (Carolynn), Colin (Melissa), Terri (Jason), and Shaun, as well as several nieces, nephews, relatives, and close friends.

 John enjoyed countless hours hunting, camping, fishing, and exploring the outdoors with family and friends.

A celebration of John’s life will be held at the Rimbey United Church on February 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Rimbey Curling Club Junior Program, Kids in Sport Rimbey, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
