Bonnie Gail McMillen
Feb 18, 1966 - April 18, 2024
It is with great sadness the family of Bonnie Gail McMillen wishes to announce that she passed away peacefully in Red Deer Hospital on April 18, 2024, at 58 years of age.
She is survived by her loving husband and daughter Steve and Josephine McMillen, Her loyal companions; Tucker and Bear, Her older siblings; Sharon (Harry), Danny (Edie), Johnny, Brenda (Greg) and numerous extended family including her wonderful nieces and nephews and an abundance of caring friends.
She is predeceased by her parents, Ray and Darlene Beach and her brother Cecil.
Bonnie was born and raised in Lacombe Alberta, where she lived for all of her life. She was a passionate journeyman baker, a Canada Post mail courier for over 25 years and a community driven local who was known by many. She spent most of her days crocheting, baking and spending time with her numerous friends. Often gifting her homemade goods to others. Christmas was her favourite time of year, and it was known by her "prizes" that she thoughtfully gave to others as well as providing enough baked goods (including her famous shortbread cookies) for an army.
It's hard to say goodbye to Bonnie. She was bold, hilarious, kind-hearted, and she touched the lives of many. Even though she's not with us anymore, her vibrant spirit lives on in our hearts, reminding us to laugh, to love, to indulge a little and carry on with just a little bit of mischief. There is truly no one like Bonnie, you will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Bonnie's Life will be held at Wilson's Funeral Chapel, Lacombe on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
