Margaret Bullock (McCreight) Rowley

Margaret Bullock Rowley (Zielgler), beloved wife of Geroge Rowley of Clive, Alberta,  passed away peacefully at the Royal Oak Village, Lacombe, Alberta on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at the age of 89 years.

Margaret Bullock Rowley (Ziegler) was born December 28, 1934, in the Hanna Hospital, to James McCreight from Northern Ireland and Margaret Ellen Bullock from Wigan, England. She was the youngest of three girls, eldest being Ellen Jane Flora (McCreight) of New Zealand, and Gladys MacDonald (McCreight) of Red Deer. She was predeceased by first husband, Daniel Ziegler in 1984 at the age of 53 years. She is survived by her second husband George Rowley of Clive, son Jeff (Guidel) Ziegler, grandson Rylan and his kids Zandra & Asher Ziegler all from Cochrane. Daughter Bev (Will) Knopf of Clive, AB, Will’s daughter Faune Dainard and her kids, Oakley Dainard & Autumn Dainard all of Lethbridge, their son Dannie Knopf of Clive, and daughter Annika (Blake) Bergsma and their daughter Athena Bergsma of Whitecourt. Stepsons, Donovan (Cecile) Rowley of Clive, Tim (Karen) Rowley of Caroline, and stepdaughter Phyliss Langvand (Darren Pollock) of Sherwood Park. Step grandchildren Myles Rowley, Kevin Rowley, Adele (Cody) Weirenga, Jenn Rowley, Sarah (Doug) Dyck, Mathew (Joanna) Rowley, Ben (Sara) Rowley, Gabe (Jenna) Rowley, Stephane (Janea) Rowley, Joe (Rani) Rowley, Timothy Rowley, Tori Rowley, Emmie Rowley, Justin Rowley and 20 great step grandchildren. She then moved to Royal Oak into memory care when diagnosed with dementia.

She loved to travel, was proud of her gardens, and was an avid knitter. Genealogy was a great joy and accomplishment for her in learning more about her ancestors, especially when growing up not knowing much about her family. She always looked forward to family golfing, traveling, and family camp outs were a great joy for her and always well organized.

She will be forever missed and always in our hearts

Funeral Services for Margaret will be held at Wilson's Funeral Chapel, 6120 Highway 2A, Lacombe, Alberta on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a family Burial in the Farivew Cemetery.
