"Cliff" George Clifford Duffy

Cliff passed away peacefully after a wonderful 93 years of life, August 20, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.
 

Cliff is survived by his children; Ray (Patricia) Duffy, Karen (Lynn) Watson, Daryl (Myrna) Duffy, his eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, and his sister Joyce Muntean.
 

Cliff and his wife Mae farmed north of Joffre for the last 65 years. He served in the armed forces during WWII and was a member of the Lacombe Legion. Cliff earned his Private Pilot’s License at the age of 50 and he attended the flying club most Sundays. Cliff and Mae were avid Square & Round dancers and Cliff enjoyed his weekly crib games in Lacombe and Ponoka.

The family would to thank the staff at the Lacombe Hospital, especially Dr. Unger and ward staff for their special care of our dear father.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in Cliff’s name can be made to the Lacombe Legion (5138 49 Street, Lacombe, AB T4L 1J2).

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday August 23, 2016 at the Lacombe Memorial Centre (5214 50 Ave, Lacombe, AB).
