One thing I did want to say about my friend Joan is that if I had known she had passed I would have been there for the service. I'm so sorry that I didn't know oh well my thoughts are with the family.

I met Joan in 1991 in her Wool Shop in the Lacombe Mall. A wonderful, empathic, humble and loved her sense of humor. Joan and friend Joyce as well as myself often played bingo together. All of us enjoyed our many coffee dates together, our various outings and our own little book club. Joan touched my heart like no other friend has, we shared a connection after I moved back to BC. I would call Joan and talk with her in the very first thing she would always say is I was just thinking about you! Joan suffered a very bad setback in her lifetime and struggled through a long bout in the Edmonton hospital with leukemia. We thought she was going to go then, but even though she was next to passing away then, she struggled through and made herself a survivor. You couldn't help but love Joan with her sense of humor, her talking about her horses and much-loved family. Rest in peace my friend you will be so missed. My sincere condolences to all of the family. At least I know she's an angel watching over me!
