Amazing that I found this man again, 40 years after meeting him in a church in upstate New York. My parents and I went to heat Bro Bloomfield speak. He told me things about myself he couldn't have possibly known. He did the same with my Mom and Dad. Bro Bloomfield was a prophet of God, even if he didn't go by that title. I hope to see him in Paradise.

He was spot on with things he would say to us. Only God knew what went on in our home. Yet Ray would speak things about me, You're just a poor cinderella but you'll be a princess someday. My 8 year old son was told that the emotional scars on him were so deep. But yet he's got a major call to be a preacher some day.

Got saved under Rays ministry in New Zealand 55 years ago. Have just completed fifty years in missions thanks to Rays ministry. Will always carry a deep sense of gratitude to Ray for his divine intervention in my life those many years ago.

Well, another 'old' Calvary Evangelical Free Church connection has gone to Glory! In July it will be 50 years since my Mom, sister and I, left Lacombe for BC and as I frequently check the Globe for obituaries of people we once were connected to in one way or another in Lacombe, I am saddened to see that one by one, they are slipping away out of our sight, but not out of memory. I have memories of your family (although somewhat vague) but more so of your grandparents, - your Mom's parents and siblings. That old rambling home in Lacombe was such a majestic home and I remember being in it a couple of different times. May your memories of your Dad, Mom and family members that have gone from your sight be warm, tender and loving and may you rest in the knowledge that you WILL SEE THEM ALL AGAIN. I rest in that fact too as my father, Peter died 52 years ago in Lacombe and my Mom died two years ago and was buried on the day of her 90th birthday. She had to wait 51 years to see my Dad again but oh what sweet reunions must be taking place constantly in that land where no sickness, pain, death or parting will ever be again. Rejoice in the Lord's goodness to you by having your father and grandfather a vital part of your lives for so long. God bless you all.

I'd have to say that having conversations with your father Ray about anything, was one of the most enjoyable occasions i recall about him. Very tender hearted man, full of wisdom & faith. A remarkable human being. I'm honored to have known him.
God Bless you all in this time of sadness for your loss.
But great joy in knowing Ray is now with his Lord & beautiful wife Alice
