My Dearest Friend Lori Rae, Words can not express the sorrow I feel at hearing of the passing of your Dad. He was always a very kind man to me. Orest was very much respected and loved by Ron Spence when Ron worked for Orest at the Lacombe Police, when Orest was Chief of Police. Orest and Mary treated Ron like kin, and Ron use to enjoy going over to their home to watch Tammy Faye and Jim Bakker's evangelist TV program in the mornings and have coffee with them. Great discussions were had at that kitchen table by Ron and Orest and Mary. He will be hugely missed in the Schur family and by the people of Lacombe. sincere condolences to the Schur family. I'll never forget years ago when you rented a school bus and took our young hockey team to Peace River to a tournament. You were part of my "good old days"
